I had dinner with friend tonight in Malibu. My friend Rod & I worked together in Beverly Hills in the mid-90's, and saw each other once in a while in PA because he was a client of the company I worked for there.
But I hadn't seen Rod since I moved back to CA, and we decided it was about time! So we each drove halfway, and met for dinner in Malibu.
We had a great time catching up - discussing work, life, family, politics, and wine. It was a great night, and even though I hadn't talked to Rod in a while, he's a friend I can just pick up with where I left off. No matter how long it's been since you talked.
We've pledged to try to meet somewhere inbetween Ventura & West LA once every month or so to share a meal and some laughs.
