Quick visit

I went to Santa Monica for a quick visit over the weekend (had to come back and work on Sunday).

Sabine's Uncle Hubie was visiting from Switzerland (we stayed with him in 2006 when we visited Switzerland and he came to the Olympics in Torino with us). Hubie is 80 years old, but you would NEVER know it. He climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro for his 70th birthday! Hubie doesn't speak much English and I don't speak German, but somehow we understand each other perfectly.

I also went to John's hockey game on Friday night (at the LA Kings' practice facility). A battle between two undefeated teams. Unfortunately, John's team (The Knights) lost. He even got to spend a little time in the penalty box.

We also did some planning for our upcoming vacation. More on that later!
